Scientific Infrastructure

BEC offers a robust and modern scientific ecosystem designed to support innovation, advanced experimentation, and translational research. Our laboratories are equipped with high-performance instruments essential for molecular biology, microbiology, cell culture, bioprocessing, analytical testing, environmental biotechnology, and applied life sciences.

The scientific facility includes:

Dedicated Molecular Biology Lab for PCR, electrophoresis, gene-level studies, and DNA/RNA work.

Microbiology & Fermentation Lab supporting culture work, media preparation, pilot fermentation, and microbial analytics.

Cell Culture Facility with controlled-environment systems for mammalian cell research and testing.

Analytical Instrumentation Suite equipped with spectrophotometers, centrifuges, incubators, microscopes, laminar flow hoods, autoclaves, and other essential tools.

Prototype and Biofabrication Support for early-stage device creation, small-scale production, and experimental prototyping.

Funding Schemes

BEC supports promising ideas and early-stage innovators through structured funding programs designed to nurture the complete innovation cycle.

SPARK Fellowship
Funding: Up to ₹30,000
For early-stage idea development, preliminary experiments, and proof-of-concept formulation.
Innovator’s Genesis Grant
Funding: Up to ₹50,000
Supports development of Early Proof-of-Concept (Early PoC) models, initial validation, and refinement.
BIOFAB Support Scheme
Funding: Up to ₹1,50,000
Designed for Late PoC or Prototype Development, enabling innovators to build functional prototypes or scalable models.
Campus Venture Catalyst Program (CVCP)
Funding: Up to ₹50,000
This initiative aims to encourage in-house registered students, interns, and faculty members to transform innovative ideas into viable entrepreneurial ventures.
