The program aims to produce well-rounded graduates who have the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute to the advancement of biotechnology and related fields. Additionally, the Master's degree can provide students with the skills and experience necessary to pursue leadership positions in the industry or to continue their education with a PhD.

 

B.Sc. Degree (Pass course or Hons.) under the 10+2+3 scheme with Agriculture/Botany/ Biotechnology/ Chemistry/ Microbiology/ Pharmacy/ Zoology as one of the subjects. Minimum of 55% of aggregate marks in Rajasthan, 60% marks for candidates from any Universities outside the State of Rajasthan.

Graduates with a Master's degree in Biotechnology can pursue a variety of career paths, including:

  • Biotechnology researcher: Conduct independent research in areas such as genomics, proteomics, and bioinformatics to develop new treatments and therapies.

  • Biotech project manager: Plan and manage biotechnology projects, including research and development, product development, and production.

  • Biotech product development specialist: Lead the development and commercialization of new biotechnology products, such as drugs, medical devices, and diagnostic tests.

  • Biotech regulatory affairs specialist: Navigate complex regulatory requirements and obtain approval for new biotechnology products.

  • Biotech patent attorney: Assist biotechnology companies in protecting their intellectual property through patents and other legal mechanisms.

  • Biotech entrepreneur: Start and manage a biotechnology company, developing new products and services in the industry.

  • Biotech consultant: Provide expert advice to biotechnology companies and government agencies on a range of issues, including research and development, product development, and regulatory compliance.

In addition to these specific roles, biotechnology graduates can also find opportunities in related fields such as pharmaceuticals, environmental science, and food science. They can also continue their education with a PhD to further advance their careers.
